Hi All, I've seen the PAE error message on the Ubuntu server and Arch installs when someone read the screen for me, and I just watched a Youtube that describes how to get around the error. It seems that almost all Intel processors after 2000 were made with PAE (physical Address Extension). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94q9teA0Mn8 shows the installation work-around. But I'm not sure what will come after I follow those steps, if I will be at a prompt, or if I will be in an install screen. Here's another post with some work-arounds: https://askubuntu.com/questions/117744/how-can-i-install-on-a-non-pae-cpu-error-kernel-requires-features-not-present I may try the route of Xubuntu 12.10 and upgrade from there if I can find that image.
