Hey Glenn, I assume you're updating to a 32-bit system on this netbook, yes?
I've got one of these as well - and unfortunately I don't think there's much new development in the 32-bit, i386 space, as evidenced by this link: https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2019/06/is-ubuntu-not-dropping-32-bit-app-support-after-all I've gotten Peppermint OS to work well on it, but Ubuntu was more of a struggle. It's a shame, I've had a soft spot for those netbooks for a long time.
