Hi, Today I decided to try the update manager in 9.04. I found it not only
worked, but I also got progress updates. I tried the settings after it finished
and the software sources came up and worked.
I then tried the other adman apps and they all worked from my account, but when
closing any of them Orca also either crashed or closed, I don't know which
since I can't see the screen. But I could start Orca with no problem.
However, after restarting the computer, like before most of the admin apps were
not accessible from my account. Running update manager first for some reason
seems to correct this problem to some extent. Maybe this info will be useful in
finding the problem.
As of today, the Orca settings still can't be saved in your account.
I am very impressed with 9.04, it seems to be very responsive.
Mike.
