Hi, I noticed something today. While in a user account you loose speech when playing a media file. In the root account you do not loose speech. I tried installing speech-dispatcher again, and again lost all speech. I tried running orca -t which used to work, but that didn't produce any speech this time. Mike. X-Antivirus: avast!
