Dear all, We're excited to announce the YES workshop on Causal Inference.
What: workshop on causal inference for PhD/postdoc researchers When: 13-15 March 2023 Where: Eindhoven, The Netherlands, in-person More information and registration: https://www.eurandom.tue.nl/event/yes-causal-inference/ Registration closes October 28th. In case the number of registrations exceeds our capacity, the organizing committee will make a selection and announce the outcome in November. Please find the workshop description below this message. Best wishes, Joris Mooij, Richard Post and Stéphanie van der Pas ---- Description: Causal inference is at the center of research. Perhaps because of its central position in so many sciences, multiple perspectives have arisen from which causal inference is studied. Two popular ones are the potential outcomes framework and the graphical approach. In this workshop, researchers from many domains (mathematics, (bio)statistics, economics, computer science, social science,...) will look for common ground in their approaches towards causal inference. The workshop is aimed at junior researchers working in causal inference, from any domain. There will be two tutorials, one about the potential outcomes framework and one about the graphical approach. In addition, there will be keynote lectures, talks by participants and a poster session. Confirmed tutorial and keynote speakers include Sara Magliacane (University of Amsterdam), Mats Julius Stensrud (EPFL), Leonard Henckel (University of Copenhagen), Sonja Swanson (University of Pittsburgh) and Rhian Daniel (Cardiff University). _______________________________________________ uai mailing list uai@engr.orst.edu https://it.engineering.oregonstate.edu/mailman/listinfo/uai
