Research Associate / Fellow Ref: 010519 Salary: Grade 7: £33,242 - £37,394 / Grade 8: £40,847 - £47,328 http://bit.ly/1HHdWBN Working as a senior member of Professor Murray-Smith’s Inference, Dynamics and Interaction Research Group<http://www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/~rod/> in the School of Computing Science in Glasgow University, in collaboration with that of Professor Bowman and Dr Ludger Evers in Mathematics and Statistics, you will undertake and lead aspects of machine learning, inverse problems and statistical analysis in research associated with the Quantum Technology (QT) Hub<http://www.gla.ac.uk/research/az/quantumimaginghub/> (http://www.gla.ac.uk/research/az/quantumimaginghub/ ) including image processing applications. Possessing expertise in advanced statistical modelling, inverse problems, advanced signal processing and/or advanced machine learning algorithms and excellent software skills in numerical implementations of advanced algorithms in Python, Matlab or similar you will provide academic leadership in research and to participate in management and administration, as required, at School and College level. This position has funding until 30 November 2016 in the first instance and if the QT Hub continues as planned, the contract would be extended until 30th November 2019.
