Dear students,

as you know it already, the Google Summer of Code 2013 is on its way now
and mentoring organizations have been selected. At Boost, the C++ library,
we are happy to be part of this challenge again.

More specifically, this year, Boost.uBLAS the library for linear algebra,
vectors and matrices computations proposed a project. And we are now
accepting applications.

If you want to be part of this journey and bring your contributions to this
library, please send me a CV and a cover letter describing your ideas.

You will find documentation regarding the GSOC 2013 Boost.uBLAS project
here:
https://svn.boost.org/trac/boost/wiki/SoC2013
and here
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/ublas/index.php?title=Main_Page

This year, one of our main goal is to reshape the Boost.uBLAS framework in
order to make it ready for modern hardware and make it even faster than
before (on both dense and sparse matrices), using all sort of technologies
(SSE,AVX, Neon, multi-core, GPU, you name it...). We also want to include a
wealth of new algorithms making the conversion of code from environments
like Matlab or R even easier than it was before.

Of course, any brilliant idea will be considered !

Let's contribute.

Best regards,
David Bellot
