Graduate students and junior faculty are especially encouraged to submit papers. The broad range of topics together with the fact that usually only a limited number papers are accepted, and plenary presentations by well known scientists, make the MAICS conference a very special event. In recent years MAICS has also attracted a significant interest from international participants. Papers in all areas of Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science are invited. Submitted papers may present significant final results or describe interesting research in progress. Participation of younger researchers and graduate students is specially encouraged. All submitted papers are peer reviewed for the proceedings publication and conference presentations. Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to: Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, Soft Computing, Computational Intelligence, Intelligent Systems, Natural Language Processing & Understanding, Computational Linguistics, Uncertainty Management, Logic and Reasoning, Evolutionary Computation, Machine Learning, Computational Theories of Learning, Web Intelligence Applications, Decision Support Systems, Data Mining & Visualization, Knowledge Representation & Management, Kansei Engineering. Organizing Committee: Conference Chairs: Atsushi Inoue, Eastern Washington University, USA. Anca Ralescu, University of Cincinnati, USA. Program Chair: Sofia Visa, College of Wooster, USA. -- Atsushi Inoue: http://www.inoueatsushi.net/
