Research Associate/Fellow in Intelligent Modelling & Analysis University of Nottingham - School of Computer Science
Applications are invited for the above post based in the School of Computer Science, Jubilee Campus. The successful candidate will investigate the potential of a variety of data analysis and modelling methods, including simulation, data mining, clustering algorithms and statistical data analysis in generating the most appropriate techniques for a range of problems. The problems to be studied are from the biomedical and security fields where extremely large data volumes have to be analysed in (near) real-time to very high levels of accuracy.
As this is part of an EPSRC funded project, the person appointed will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Professor U Aickelin. You can find more information about Professor Aickelin's work at http://ima.ac.uk/aickelin

Candidates should hold, or be close to completion of, a PhD (or equivalent) in a subject related to the project.
Salary will be within the range £27,319 - £35,646 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience (£26,523 maximum without PhD). This full-time post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 18 months.
