The Intelligent Systems Laboratory (ISL) in the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY is seeking a post-doctorate associate with background and expertise in graphical models including Bayesian Networks. We are especially interested in candidates with significant experience in theoretical developments of graphical models such as learning and inference. The candidate is expected to develop new theories in graphical models and apply the developed theories to different applications including computer vision, human state/performance modeling and prediction, brain computer interface, or information fusion for situation understanding and decision making. Strong and solid mathematical, statistical, and machine learning background and excellent programming skills are also essential. The position is available immediately.
