Thanks Aneesh. btw, in case anyone else is interested in making top of tree u-boot-arm work with beagleboard/-xm, I should mention that it doesn't work properly with bbtoys-wifi. Also, the default config provided in the tree still uses ttyS2 whereas the newer omap kernels all use ttyO2 so the serial console goes quiet with top of tree u-boot. But there seems to be a difference between u-boot-arm.git and OE's u-boot since wifi doesn't work when using u-boot-arm.git.
