One thing to know about the Aspeed SoC AST2600 is that the Cortex A7 CPU has an FPU implementing VFPv4 without NEON support, which can break user space. buildroot was fixed with BR2_ARM_FPU_VFPV4D16 and the QEMU model was adjusted to be more precise with HW, in version 8.1 and above. It might be related. Having some logs would help to corner the issue. Thanks, C.
