So here we go. Initrd cannot be in highmem. I cannot find this documented, quickly, under https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ so I guess this is more just background knowledge than formal knowledge. This also matches up with your noting that initrd_high=0x70000000 works. -- Tom
