This is rather strange. I thought the linker would have done better. However, I could overcome this problem by making 'done' a non-zero initialized variable. Can't you try that? I think the 'done' bit is quite useful. I see that the dcache_enable() is called from multiple places. I tested your patch on OMAP4430(Cortex-A9).
