If these are really a 1:1 copy from linux, how come one of them includes a U-Boot specific dtsi? The "xxx-u-boot.dtsi" files are included automatically by the build, you don't have to do that yourself, and you shouldn't! So for v8, please make sure files from Linux are 1:1 copies.
