So even if you take my patches (of u-boot), I doubt that you would be able to boot kernel from beaglebone.
If you need support for 3.8.13 kernel, I suggest you refer to post a query to e2e.ti.com forum. I don't know if you would be able to get any help in this maillist. But if you plan to use mainline.
