I have a new empty typo3 6.2.2 installation on opensuse 13.1 where the install
tool does not work.
It asks permanently for the password.
The errorlog shows twice the message:
PHP Warning: session_write_close(): Failed to write session data (user). Please verify
that the current setting of session.save_path is correct
(/srv/www/htdocs/typo3temp/InstallToolSessions/4549ffae4a4a277b4061f6acd04b5bba77970720)
in
/srv/www/htdocs/typo3_src-6.2.2/typo3/sysext/install/Classes/Service/SessionService.php

The InstallToolSessions/4549ffae4a4a277b4061f6acd04b5bba77970720 gets created
by the webserver. In this directory are also the newly created .htaccess and
index.html.
The webserver has therefore the required rights to create files.
