Dear TYPO3 friends, tonight the TYPO3 community released the second beta version of TYPO3 4.5. This is a developer "snapshot" and incorporates many bug fixes since beta1 and also some nice new features (FAL and a new Extension Manager). Release of 4.5.0 is scheduled for the end of January 2011.

You can of course also opt to upgrade an existing installation to the new 4.5.0beta2 version, but keep in mind that this is still a snapshot of our development so far, and more changes and fixes will be included in further releases. We'll release beta3 (last beta) at 22nd December, three weeks from now, where we expect all features to mature and reach a very stable status.
