Microsoft runtime DLLs, that may or may not be installed, with or without
the correct versions, and where the correct versions may get later
changed thus stopping SSL working. 

That is why Arno offers SSL DLLs without any external dependencies. 

But I agree versions numbers, etc, are ideal, provided the tools used
support them.
