Hi All

Looks my send problem was caused by 2 things:

- A faulty message pump
- AV software deciding to 'mess up- some sends

Everything now works!

The AV software is NOD32 v4. It allows emails to go through sometimes, and then
on other occasions it would just terminate the connection - for exactly the
same email content as before.

Setting my ICS-based email client as an email client in the AV package fixed
the problem.

Thanks again to everyone who helped.
