We have a Delphi application, using ICS components, running for a few years and now we stumbled upon a problem.
Some mails are abruptly cut-off in the middle of the mail. Somehow the last line sent is translated, resulting in an end-of-mail code (CRLF.CRLF) being transmitted. The component tries to send the rest of the mail, but the smtp server does not accept that, and depending on the smtp server, the application hangs for a few minutes The mails arrive at the addressee, but not complete. After quite some testing we found out that it only happens when the line sent is exactly 149 characters in length AND the last character is a dot (.) AND there is an equal sign somewhere on the line(=).
