Hi,

All of my CodeGear C++ Builder 2007 projects have been using the same stable
ICS version for years (some old V5 distribution which is working really
great). Still, I'm now looking at upgrading all of projects with a new ICS
release in order to benefit from all the improvements that have been made
over the last years.

Unfortunately, I am somewhat confused which ICS distribution I should use as
the next stable base to be included in my projects since there are so 3
different ICS distributions to pick from.

Following 3 downloads can be found on the site:

[1] Download the latest ICS-V5 Distribution
This one appears to be dated May 1, 2006 (at least according to the
readme.txt timestamp) and perhaps seems the most stable. But this one is
also the oldest one (and in fact, it is indeed almost 2 years old).

[2] ICS V5 for Delphi/C++Builder Beta (Oct 07, 2007)
A more recent version of the one above. However, I'm unsure how the BETA
label affects the stability and reliability?

[3] ICS V6 for Delphi 7 and up Beta (Nov 14, 2007)
Again, due to the BETA label I am unsure how this affects stabiliy and
reliability. Furthermore, the download description only mentions Delphi and
not C++ Builder ?

So, I'm wondering what the best choice is as the new ICS baseline. My C++
Builder 2007 applications have a very significant user base and I'd rather
avoid introducing regression by using unsuitable ICS beta distributions.

Thanks,

Kris
