If you're trying to POST a status update, then you need to use the HTTP POST method. Further, you should place the API-related data in the POST body of the request instead of the query string (in other words, your status=HiAll shouldn't be in the query string).
There are many reasons your signature may be invalid -- how are you generating your signature? Are you using an OAuth library? If at all possible, I recommend using HTTP header-based OAuth instead of putting your oauth_* parameters on the query string: it separates concerns and makes debugging these scenarios much easier. @episod <http://twitter.com/episod> - Taylor Singletary On Fri, Apr 15, 2011 at 2:03 AM, nite21 <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Guys > > I am getting an invalid oauth signature error > my url is this > > > https://api.twitter.com/statuses/update.xml?oauth_consumer_key=iVjNcp1YHbQJMzmrpEaNg&oauth_nonce=1184941015&oauth_signature=Hndgqkow8z29ltlAir05uyYRuE0%3D&oauth_signature_method=HMAC-SHA1&oauth_timestamp=1302856754&oauth_token=53616715-lJvGpHoGgxWqvHFDUM0eanKUqHtNx3Wcc6sh8Bgci&status=HiAll > > Will u help me out with this error thanks > > Regards > Nite > > -- > Twitter developer documentation and resources: http://dev.twitter.com/doc > API updates via Twitter: http://twitter.com/twitterapi > Issues/Enhancements Tracker: > http://code.google.com/p/twitter-api/issues/list > Change your membership to this group: > http://groups.google.com/group/twitter-development-talk > -- Twitter developer documentation and resources: http://dev.twitter.com/doc API updates via Twitter: http://twitter.com/twitterapi Issues/Enhancements Tracker: http://code.google.com/p/twitter-api/issues/list Change your membership to this group: http://groups.google.com/group/twitter-development-talk
