In what has been a long-simmering feud between producers Sony Pictures 
Television (the successors to original producer Merv Griffin) and 
syndicator CBS Media Ventures (the successors to original syndicators 
KingWorld), an LA Superior Court has ruled that CBS must give up 
syndication of "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!" immediately, taking 
Sony's word that CBS has not been living up to their obligations--CBS plans 
to appeal:
