CBC has their app called CBC Gem. It provides free streams of local OTA channels, plus on-demand stuff with ads. You have to subscribe for the News Network.
Well I just got a notification of a free period. I can't find any press release online. International readers may want to try to stream from gem.cbc.ca to see if you can watch our election coverage and "WTF did Trump do on tariffs today" updates.
