"All Things Considered" co-host Ari Shapiro was told by the public radio
network's standards and practices chief not to attend a corporate LGBTQ
Pride event in an Email that was accidentally forwarded to other NPR news
staff--when Shapiro, a gay man, said that he had appeared at similar events
for years with their approval, they then reversed the decision:

Considering that Trump's new FCC chair has declared war on public
broadcasting, it's not surprising that this happened--they've already said
that their departing DEI chief will not be replaced.
