Well worth a read, even if it seems to end a little abruptly, like the
author suddenly hit a deadline.

What I'd have liked to have seen is some kind of prediction for the future,
because if subscriber levels fall then some of those channels that have
been commissioning fresh series are going to have to stop.

And of course there's the not insignificant fact that these cable channels
are actually profitable even if revenues are declining overall. Compare
that with Netflix which is still burning cash even as everyone switches to
them.
