I've been trying to figure out if any 11:30 programs that preceded The Colbert
Report lasted for any length of time.
As best as I can tell, however, there may not have been many 'daily' programs
at that time prior to Colbert.  I think Win Ben Stein's Money aired earlier in
the evening.  Regardless, it ran for five and a half years.  Tough Crowd with
Colin Quinn ran for almost 2 years.

Other popular CC shows before Colbert were typically weekly.  Exceptions would
be The Daily Show, and the show it replaced (because it moved to ABC),
Politically Incorrect.  That show ran on CC for only 3 years before heading to
broadcast.
