As I said initially, I did not think it was a great joke (just not offensive), and in one sense we probably have already spent more time on it than it deserves. But there is a part of this that is kind of interesting to me - which is, “what was the joke intended to be here?”
This is why I think the set up for the joke has to be seen as David’s observation that several of the high profile sexual abusers have been older Jewish men. In that context (with the long pause following it), I think what LD was going for was something like: “I am an old Jewish man, and I know how horrible we can be. I have never sexually abused or harassed a woman, but I would not put it past myself. I am such a horrible person that I suspect that if I had been in a Concentration Camp I would have been coming on to women there.” Yes, the camps were not co-ed, but the setup is that men (in general) and the kind of man LD is in particular are so horrible that almost no situation is too inapprropriate for them to make a sexual advance. I am not a comic, so I can not find the way to say this in a funny way - and as it turned out, I guess LD was not able to either. But I am not going to criticize his attempt, just his execution.
