The ones I've found all tend to be at least from 2015, and mostly from
2012, which must have been the last time media asked Hynde about it.

I've also seen at least one article
<http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/can-rush-peter-gabriel-legally-order-limbaugh-to-cease-using-their-songs-20120308>

(link at *Rolling Stone*), also from '12, in which a lawyer basically
suggests it's not the songwriter's station to complain about the use of
their works on radio and/or the Net if the performing entity (in this case
the applicable syndicator, perhaps jointly working with the comedian)
negotiates and pays for a license from the applicable entities. This is
similar to the sitch faced by politicians during campaigns, when staff are
too ignorant to arrange for licenses usable at all the appearances
candidates make.
