Well, KTLA and Sunset/Gower have built up tremendously over the past couple years, without much going on in either. The former NBC Studios is still mostly a ghost town except for Days of our Lives, and CBS TV City seems to be the go to place to shoot pilots, but they have empty stages as well... those are just the ones I know of. Meanwhile, by comparison, you can't swing a dead cat in Glendale without running into a production crew filming a procedural, so on-location shooting seems to be alive and well.
