This is either inspired casting or is going to crash and burn spectacularly.
- Prue Leith is going to have to work at her likeability. In the past she's been a bit too much like a strict school-teacher, which goes against the grain of a friendly format. - Sandi Toksvig will be fine, and has the right kind of chumminess and dry wit. - Noel Fielding is a frankly bizarre choice. To say that his brand of humour is a bit different is to put it mildly. In a crazy way, it might work, but Bake Off will be a different show. It's still remarkable to me that Channel 4 bought the format but didn't tie up the talent in advance.
