The thing I find slightly odd about this is the way it's reported - as
though these views wouldn't already be known.

In another report I saw it said that a video had "surfaced." Correct me if
I'm wrong, but didn't that show air nationally to an audience of millions?
(Or at least a million?)

This wasn't some private conversation or meeting. It was a TV show that
aired on network TV! Similarly, he repeated his views in a magazine that
has sales of many hundreds of thousands.

I'm certainly not defending him, and not knowing the guy all that well, he
may have said so many provocative things that it's hard to keep track. But
this doesn't feel like something anyone should easily forget. Is there some
kind of collective amnesia going on?
