Steve, I agree about the communication problem - I apologize, but I guess I am not understanding what your question is here. The Grammy awards that were announced prior to the live telecast were not the same awards as those announced during the live telecast. So, those tweets you saw were not really "spoilers", they were just the manner of making the announcement.
In the recent past they have announced some of those awards in quick spurts during the telecast, noting that they had been given, and announced, earlier. I think they have also once or twice included some of those in a text crawl at the bottom of the screen. They only did a little of that yesterday, instead relating the non-primetime awards over social media in advance. Perhaps what you are complaining about is the demotion of the pop vocal album award? It would be interesting to know if that has always been kept out of prime time since they pruned the list to make more room for performances.
