NBC could always use this to push the league for a Sunday night conference
semifinal in the future. (ABC-ESPN could always join in the conversation.) NBC
would be the logical home for Sunday night football, even if the league
insisted on mirroring the conference-final schedule the next weekend, with the
second game starting at 6:40et.

This year, CBS is carrying the other AFC semifinal tomorrow night. Fox would no
doubt insist on alternating conferences in primetime coverage, even if the
other network partner isn’t actually covering the late Sunday game.
