It is their station and they can do what they want. If they don't want to
broadcast bad words or "edgy" material, then they should just not carry
SNL. What I strongly criticize them for is running the show, and then
censoring it. I am somewhat less critical if Lorne, or even NBC, decide to
bleep something on the show - they are the one's ultimately deciding on
what kind of show they want to send out. But I think it is very bad form
for third parties to censor the material. It is no different to me than if
Wall Mart pulled out a few objectionable pages from a Dave Chappelle book.
If selling (and making a profit) off of Chappelle is offensive to your
sensibilities, then fine - don't sell it. But don't profit off of it while
fundamentally changing it.
