Hip-hopper "Shad," who replaced Jian Ghomeshi on the daily CBC Radio 1 arts program last year after revelations of Ghomeshi's tendency towards sexual harassment, has been fired after dropping ratings and some public radio stations in the U.S. dropping the show, which is syndicated through PRI--his replacement is CBC Radio 2 morning drive jock Tom Power (who has much more broadcasting experience than Shad)--no indication if the TV version of the show for the U.S. (mostly syndicated in off-hour weekend time slots against infomercials) will continue this fall:
