When one news outlet is quoting another I prefer to link to the original
article. In this case it's here:

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/07/murdochs-have-decided-to-remove-roger-ailes.html

Ailes is 76. If he were younger I would say he could take his severance and
go to a right wing think tank like Heritage and they would welcome him. Or
he could set up shop as a consultant to political campaigns. But at 76
without the institution of Fox News or the power of the Murdochs behind him
his time in the public eye may be over.

One interesting side note: I wondered why Carlson('s attorneys) sued Ailes
personally rather than Fox News as they were the employer. Yesterday
Ailes's attorney submitted to the court a request for change of venue as
Carlson had agreed to secret binding arbitration in her contract. Her
attorneys argued that she was not suing Fox News so her contract did not
enter into the case.
