If you are stuck for an antenna, here's what I did as an experiment. My
son moved into a condo in toronto near the CN Tower (largest free standing
transmitter in the world, or it was).

Since I still live in analog TV area (only major centres in Canada were
mandated to go digital OTA ) I wanted to see what digital OTA looked like
and how many channels he got.

So I took a 8 inch long piece of copper wire (from an ethernet cable) and
stuck in into the middle hole of the coax antenna connection on the TV.
We received 20 or so channels including ones from Buffalo across Lake
Ontario.

Then a year later he moved a few blocks west and onto the "far side" of the
building and only got a few channels. Sadly he does not receive City-tv
which means his girlfriend does not get The Bachelorette live.
