>But you know, over this side of the pond we cope just fine with southern >drawls, New Yawk accents and pretty much anything you throw at us. Plus we've >watched Aussie soaps for years. So I think complaining about accents is an >easy get-out. You just have to concentrate a bit harder sometimes. This’ll slide into a tangential complaint, but: I’ve been watching the Australian medical drama “All Saints” via Hulu. I can manage the accents fine as well, but the closed-captioning can leave little to be desired. I presume it to be auto-generated, as sometimes characters’ names are misspelled from one conversation to the next, while other words and phrases are glided – e.g., “thank you” vs. “then queue” – or merely labeled as “[UNINTELLIGBLE]”. But I must say, for a 12-year, 35-40 episode-per medical drama, there are apparently a lot of illnesses Down Under. _ _ |_>|_> Brad Beam- Belle WV |_>|_> http://www.facebook.com/74bmw -- -- TV or Not TV ....
