At this point networks are arbitrary with the exceptions being news and sports events, both live programing that seems to require wraparounds and summaries and highlights and lowlights. I'm not a sports fan, but I suspect -- and I could be wrong -- there are more sports fans out there than there are people willing to participate in a survey.
