It's a spiffy car, but Route 66 is interesting enough as a look at America
(and television) from 50 years ago. (Retro TV shows it weekdays, while MeTV
has it on Sunday overnights.) It was essentially an anthology with no real
continuing plot, where the guys would go someplace new, find jobs, and be
thrown into the week's story. Episodes were shot all over the U.S.

The Time obit claims Milner had "contract issues", but the AP correctly
ascribes them to Maharis. Milner was on through the entire series. The AP
talks about the show being set on and around Route 66, though, when it was
set all over the country, including many places that were nowhere near the
actual road.
