The point that makes the satire work is getting the audience to realize that these news outlets and pundits have no credibility. After all these years the audience for these shows has gotten the point and continuing the shows is just making the same points over and over again. The TDS/TCR audience has long stopped watching cable news and Fox News has stopped pretending that they broadcast to the entire American public. I saw an interview with Trevor Noah where he said the big difference between his TDS and Stewart's was that Stewart's audience got its news from cable channels and his audience gets theirs from Buzzfeed and social media. -- -- TV or Not TV ....
