I think this weekend is the season finale for Newsroom. I still have not found evidence to support the widespread pummeling this show has taken from the critics - if anything I like it somewhat more now than when it started. I think the bashing is partly because the bar is set to so high for Sorkin, and partly because Sorkin's somewhat hyper-realistic style gives some the misimpression that he is trying to make documentaries.
Whatever one might think of the merits of the show, one clear service it has provided me is to finally begin to understand what all the fuss has been about with Olivia Munn. I never did get her on The Daily Show, in terms of her humor, her personality or her looks. She has a straight role on Newsroom, but has shown good timing with the comic bits, and she almost always looks stunning. -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
