The multiple-award-winning composer had plenty of "as himself" TV credits (Dave in '93 and '94, at least four visits to Carson, and of course SNL), but did have a dramatic role as 'Alan Neider' in a 1996 episode of The Nanny. CBS News reported he was working on a Liberace biopic for Steven Soderbergh.  In LA; 68.
