Unfortunately, when you start asking questions about third-party libraries, especially fairly niche technical ones like mesa, you're unlikely to get a good answer on generic mailing lists or forums like this. You might be lucky and get a good response from a mesa expert, but I'd never even heard of it before now, so it won't be me, sorry. I suggest that while you wait for an answer, you also try googling for a specialised mesa forum.
