Other x apps work under Sway with this compat layer, such as firefox. For the moment I'm switching back to Gnome, which works, but isn't as convenient as i3/sway, when they work. The problem with i3 on this machine is that it doesnt handle hidpi very well, sway does handle hidpi but not turbovnc.
