That's strange. Please provide the debug IMAP log (and, preferably, file a bug because a bugtracker is the correct place to track this).
What IMAP server do you use? Are you 100% sure that your INBOX was open (i.e. the messages shown in the view were from INBOX) at that time? Are both screenshots from the same Trojita instance?
