I received an email today that contained 2MB of text. It is not a multipart email and has no MIME headers whatsoever. It is an auto-generated report sent from one of my systems at work.
When I click it in the message list in Thunderbird, it takes 2 seconds to display it in the preview pane. In Trojita, the same action takes 6 times longer at 12 seconds. In both clients, both GUIs hang completely until the operation completes.
