Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 15.10 dev with e2fsprogs 1.42.12-1ubuntu2 and for example on using e4defrag on /dev/sda1 I'm getting the message "Filesystem is not mounted" while it is. Does e4defrag check this based on /etc/mtab? In this case this issue ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/util-linux/+bug/1491005 ) explains while it don't find /dev/sda1. But maybe e4defrag should then directly check /proc/mounts.
